F.A.Q

— What are your safety practices due to COVID-19?
The health and safety of our customers and photographers is our highest priority.
— Pre-shoot, your photographer will:
1) Monitor and confirm that outdoor shoots are currently allowed in their city. 2) Recommend a better location if your preferred route is too crowded or not safe. 3) Reach out a few days before your shoot date to confirm everyone is still healthy.
— During the shoot:
1) Photographers will remain at least 6 feet away at all times. 2) Although they miss the hugs and handshakes, air high fives and heart-hands are always welcome!
— How long in advance should I book my shoot?
We suggest you book at least a week in advance, although we will attempt to accommodate last minute requests within 3 days (but no promises). The ideal time frame to ensure you get your preferred time/date is at least 6-8 weeks in advance.
— How many people can book a shoot together in a session?
Getting great photos with a group means having ample time on your shoot to do so. In order to do that, we have required package lengths based on the number of participants. Our group maximum numbers are as follows: - 1 hours: max 6 people - 2 hours: max 8 people - 3 hours: max 12 people - If you have a group of more than 12 people, please consider booking at least half day 4 hours. *If more people show up to your shoot than you originally indicated on your booking form and the total number of people then exceeds the package requirement, extra people above the limit will be charged at $80 per person. The package length and photo quantities will remain as originally booked.
— What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
Any retainer/deposit is non-refundable. If you need to cancel for any reason, please email or call us and we will refund 90% only of your booking fee as long as you provide us no less than 14 days’ notice prior to your scheduled shoot date. No refund at all will be issued less than 14 days’ notice.
— Can I change the route once I’ve booked?
Usually, yes. However, please keep in mind that sometimes photographers have booked the rest of their day around the location you’ve already chosen so it may not be possible. This is especially true for last-minute changes. We will always try our best to accommodate you, but please note that due to other circumstances, once a route is chosen, we may not be able to change it.
— What if I am running late?
Please text or email your photographer if you are delayed. If you arrive late, keep in mind your photographer may have another shoot booked right after. The photographer can only carry out the shoot for the remaining time. We highly recommend arriving early and even having a walk around or have a drink nearby so you don’t begin your experience in a ‘rushed’ state of mind. Remember: traffic in big cities can be unpredictable. Should you wish to extend beyond the time of your scheduled session and the photographer is available, add-on time is charged at a rate of $150 USD per half hour. If you arrive late for your session, any time that has passed from your original start time will be forfeited, and you may shoot for the remainder of the time you have booked. The number of photos delivered may be adjusted to reflect the actual time spent together. You may add additional time if the photographer is free; add-on time is charged at a rate of $150 USD per half hour.
—What happens if it’s raining?
Our photographers are ready to shoot in light rain or shine! – but we will connect you directly with your photographer so that you can be in touch before your shoot to discuss the weather. We can never guarantee photographer availability on other dates, but they always do their very best to reschedule if there is too much rain to work with. In the unfortunate case that terrible weather makes your shoot impossible and there is no ability to reschedule, we do offer a full refund.
— Can I purchase extra time while in the middle of a shoot?
Of course! If you want to keep going, and if your photographer is free, you can pay the additional charge afterwards online. Each additional 30 minute increment is $150 USD. However, keep in mind photographers may have other schedules later. We highly recommend booking sufficient time for your group in advance.
— When will I see the photos?
We will send you an email with a link to your online gallery in 7-10 business days. All photogs are lighting and color edited where you can share, download, and order prints. There will also be a link in that email to leave feedback and tell about your experience, so please be sure to let us know!
— What format will I receive my photos in?
Photos in your online gallery and high resolution link are provided in JPEG format. Please note that to protect the work of our photographers, under no circumstances are we able to provide RAW format files.
— Do I own the photos?
The photographer owns the copyright. You have the rights to use the photos for personal use (not commercial purpose). Print them, share them and hopefully hang them on your wall. We would like to showcase your photos in our portfolio, but if you are shy, or prefer to keep them private, just let us know.
— Can I book a PicVoyage photographer for a commercial project?
For questions about commercial shoots, please contact us [email protected] with the details of your project. We will then send you more information about commercial pricing & licensing options.
